I wear a wide width regular shoe but bought this in a normal width and it did fine. There is good cushioning in the heel. My only complaint is there isn't as much cushioning in the forward part of the shoe. I interpret the term studio shoes to mean those being worn for dance exercise (my intent - Jazzercise). I spend a lot of time on the ball of my foot so not having padding there was a bit of a 'fail' for me.
Great for aerobics!

I have always worn AVIA shoes for aerobics and this design is very comfortable and great support! I already have these shoes in the black and turquoise, so I purchased the silver to have a variety of color. Thank you so much for this great design!!!!

I wear these for aerobics with a need for support both side to side and front to back. these have support for both of these actions.
