  1. Great shoe, insole needs work!

I really like the look and feel of this shoe; have been wearing it for a week now. However, the gel insole is rubbery/sticky and it's hard to put your foot in because the sock sticks! This happened two pairs ago; the last pair of Avias I had was OK, so I thought they had fixed this, but here it is again. Sprinkling some powder liberally on the insole every so often helps, but I can't understand why someone didn't catch this.

  2. Not sure about these

I've only tried my new shoes on once, need to give them another chance and walk around in them a bit. They feel a bit squishy and adding my orthotic under the insoles raised my foot to the point where the heel fit wasn't right. They are light and a little bit less stylish on the foot than in the photo. The size is true, they just don't feel as predictable as earlier AVIAS, which I have been buying for decades. I promise an update as soon as I've spent more time with them.

  3. Slightly disappointed

I really like the look and style of this shoe. There is one big issue though. The tongue of the shoe has a sharp edge and it comes up rather high on my foot. The first time I exercised in them that sharp edge rubbed uncomfortably against my skin. I was wearing low socks. It actually caused quite a painful scrape. I probably should've returned the shoes, but they are otherwise very comfortable. I wear higher socks and fold the edge of the tongue under.
