The woman who simply goes by Shonny V became the first American since 2004 to win the XTERRA World Championship. The 41-years young former pro mountain biker stormed through the women’s field on the bike like a freight train. She entered T2 clutching a slim 60-second lead over the reigning world champion. Like a true champion, Shonny seized the moment and ran to her first ever world title.
